Job Purpose: Maintains distribution network by servicing current customers; e
xpanding customer base; and developing product base.
Duties:
* Identifies business opportunities by identifying and qualifying prospects; r
esearching and analyzing sales options.
* Develops new customers by establishing new distribution channels and support
ing current sales outlets; explaining product potential to new outlets; identi
fying possibilities for product improvements and new products; training sales
representatives and agents; supporting publicity efforts.
* Develops product improvements or new products by remaining current on indust
ry trends, market activities, competitors, and consumer expressions.
* Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of direct sa
les representatives and agents; adjusting content of sales presentations for s
pecific outlet; developing promotional literature.
* Resolves customer complaints by providing information; answering questions;
investigating problems; developing solutions.
* Provides management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sa
les data and trends.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading
professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
* Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as
needed.
Skills:
Must be in Foodservice Industry (Smallware) for at least 2 years
Travel is necessary
Product Knowledge, Persuasion, Product Management, Customer Service, Selling t
o Customer needs, Prospecting Skills, Verbal Communication, Motivation for Sal
es, Proactive Professionalism, Meeting sales goals.
Optional:
* Multilingual ~ Chinese, Spanish, or any secondary language a plus
Salary: Base Salary plus Commission over Quota or increase in base salary
Career Level Required: Experienced (Non-Manager)
Experience Required: 2+ to 5 Years in Foodservice Industry (Smallware)
Education Required: Some College Coursework Completed
