J.R. Smith was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday
after leading the Knicks to four victories and helping them stretch their
winning streak to eight games.
JR在週一NBA無懸念的奪得NBA本週東區最佳球員，他帶領尼克拿下四場勝利，並幫助球隊
八連勝。
Smith came off the bench averaging 29.8 points and seven rebounds and also
had six steals against the Celtics (twice), Bobcats and Grizzlies. He took
coach Mike Woodson's advice and has been more aggressive which has led to an
increase in scoring -- Smith had three 30 point efforts in a row -- and more
trips to the free throw line. Smith hit 35 of 40 free throws last week and
shot 54 percent (39-for-72) from the field.
JR替補出場，場均29.8分和7個籃板，在對戰Celtics(兩次)有6次抄截，對山貓和灰熊也
有。他接受武僧教練的意見，更積極增加得分手段，JR連續3場30+，並有更多站上罰球線

Smith is in the race for the sixth man of the year award, as he has made no
starts this year but appeared in all 72 games for the Knicks, who opened up a
4 1/2 game lead over the Nets in the Atlantic Division.
