WHAT IT MEANS: The Knicks lost Round 1 of the East River Rivalry on Monday
night, in excruciating fashion.
They fell short in overtime in their first trip to Brooklyn, and also lost
two starters to injury.

Ronnie Brewer left the game in the fourth quarter with a dislocated left ring
finger, and Jason Kidd was unavailable due to lower back spasms. The severity
of the injuries is unknown at this point.

As for the game, the Nets outscored the Knicks 12-5 in overtime. New York
shot 2-for-6 in the extra frame with two turnovers and couldn't get much
going on offense.

Carmelo Anthony (35 points) missed a pull-up jumper from the left wing with
four seconds to play that could have won the game in regulation.

Anthony shot 11-for-25 on the night, but didn't have a field goal in the
final seven minutes. He did, however, pull down 13 rebounds. Tyson Chandler

NO KIDDING AROUND: The Knicks were without Kidd for the first time all
season, and his absence was felt. Mike Woodson went with a bigger starting
lineup, inserting Kurt Thomas at power forward and moving Anthony to small
forward and Brewer to shooting guard.

shooting) and five assists for Felton.

boards early on, thanks in large part to Nets reserve Reggie Evans. The
Knicks' reserve bigs, Marcus Camby in particular, had a tough time keeping
the 6-foot-8, 245-pound Evans off the glass. He finished with 12 rebounds,
five on the offensive end,, as the Nets outrebounded the Knicks on the
offensive glass 14-7 through three quarters. The Knicks did a better job in
the final eight minutes of regulation, outrebounding the Nets 10-3 on the
offensive end.

'SHEED STRUGGLES: Rasheed Wallace wasn't shy with his shot Monday -- and that
wasn't a good thing for the Knicks. The 38-year-old veteran finished 2-for-11
for six points in 23 minutes. He pulled down eight rebounds, but the Knicks
were outscored by eight when he was on the floor.
His former North Carolina teammate and fellow graybeard, Jerry Stackhouse,
had a strong night for the Nets, finishing with 14 points -- including
4-for-5 shooting from beyond the arc.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Knicks likely will take Tuesday off to rest following their
latest back-to-back games. They travel to Milwaukee on Wednesday to take on
Brandon Jennings and an improved Bucks team. They then return home to take on
the winless Wizards on Friday night.

賽後心得
這場應該也不算真的輸掉比賽，畢竟尼克是在先發傷兵較多的情況下打這場紐約新地鐵大
戰，還能打到延長賽算表現不錯了。
不過主力瓜(50:03)和拳王(45:22)上場時間太久，打到延長賽時攻擊力似乎就出了問題。
其實CP連線有時也表現的不錯，讓CC的年輕肉體多點上場時間，適時調節主力體力或許也
不錯
這場肥頓手感不佳，JR和Novak兩個攻擊點沒有發揮，再加上老基缺賽，3分球命中率又是
挺悲劇的28.6%，進攻端打不出很好的戰術，能打到延長賽真的是要感謝拳王爆氣，瓜表
現一直都很好。
但瓜裁判難得給你一點愛，你罰球怎麼不買帳，難怪裁判無法疼你入心 XD
不過從一開始籃板被抓爆，防守調整後總籃板數相同，進攻籃板只小輸1個，防守應該算
做的不錯。
籃網本場的防守很強悍，就當遇到季後賽強度的防守，剛好可以想想怎麼破解也算好事
只是一場季賽，NBA漫長的賽季才剛剛開始不久，還有更多的季賽要面對
不論輸贏，我們都要支持尼克

The starting point guard said he was "upset at myself," and for good reason
-- he shot 3-for-19 from the field.
"I was getting to the basket; I just couldn't hit nothing," he said
afterward. "My floater wasn't going, my midrange wasn't going -- shots that I
normally hit just weren't going for me tonight. If I could change it, I would
have, but it was just one of those nights. I just have to try to put it
behind me. I'm probably just as mad as any fan, any player, anybody you could
think about."

The Knicks' second unit only scored 13 points -- their lowest mark of the
season by 15 points. J.R. Smith scored a season-low five points -- only the
second time he's been under 10 points. And for only the second time this
season, and the first time since Nov. 5, Steve Novak didn't have a 3-pointer.

AMAR'E 'FOCUSED': Amar'e Stoudemire has mostly avoided reporters since he
suffered a left knee injury in the preseason that required arthroscopic
surgery. But during Monday's game, he spoke briefly with ESPNNewYork.com and
said he's "focused" on rehab.
STAT is expected to be sidelined for at least another three weeks as he
strengthens his knee.
