The Knicks and the Rangers are on pace to sell out nearly all their available
season tickets for this season after both teams qualified for the playoffs
for the second straight year.

More than 95 percent of Knicks season-ticket holders have renewed their plans
during the off-season, while more than 90 percent of Rangers season-ticket
holders have already done so, according to the teams. Last season, the
Knicks’renewals were over 90 percent and the Rangers’ more than 85
percent.

The high renewal rates suggest that fans are willing to pay more if their
teams are winning. The Knicks, who have sold out their season tickets the
past two seasons, will increase prices by an average of 4.9 percent this
year. After missing the playoffs for six straight seasons, the Knicks have
qualified for the postseason the past two years. Their .545 winning
percentage last year was the best in 11 years.
如此高的續訂率意味著，如果球隊贏球，球迷願意花更多的錢。尼克隊過去

Ticket prices to see the Rangers, who sold out nearly every regular-season
home game and every playoff game this past season, will rise 9.5 percent on
average this year. The Rangers made it to the Eastern Conference finals
before losing to the Devils.

Most of the increases in ticket prices are focused on seats in Madison
Square Garden’s upper bowl, which has been refurbished.
大部分原因還是因為球館的翻新，上漲的票價都投入在了其中，基本用於了上層座位

After opening 20 new suites last year, the teams will open an additional 58
suites that are roughly 23 rows above the rink for hockey games and 30 rows
above the court for basketball games. More than 90 percent of these suites
have been sold or have agreements that are being finalized.
上賽季麥迪遜花園球館開放了20個新包廂，本賽季球館還將開放58個新包廂，約有

Individual tickets will go on sale in early October.

Madison Square Garden Company, which owns the teams and the MSG cable
network, as well as other holdings, will release its fourth quarter earnings
Friday.
