If you glanced at the box score, you wouldn't know Spencer Hawes actually
played well while Saturday's game was still in doubt.

season on the bench. He reclaimed the starting job, but lately has been
coming off the bench again.

Hawes has been a reserve in 10 of his 41 games, having ceded the starting job

"It's been tough," Hawes said. "It's been as trying as I can remember in my
basketball career."

minutes fluctuate all season. He played 38 minutes in last Saturday's loss at

One of those players, rookie Omri Casspi, entered Saturday's game in what

"He is a hard worker," Westphal said. "He's always improved everything we've
