The dynamic, strong-willed Italian, who speaks impeccable English and spends his offseasons visiting NBA coaches, might be too large a personality for Petrie. But if Petrie wants to be cutting edge? CSKA Moscow has one hell of a coach. Before a recruiting scandal cost him his job at Indiana, Sampson, who has extensive experience with the U.S. national team, excelled at Washington State and Oklahoma.
