這是一部紀錄片。
從片名大概可以猜出，
這部片講的是人類如何改變地球，
將原本的地貌，改變成我們自己製造出來的景觀。
由快速發展的中國為主要取景而投射至全世界，
不帶任何美化或批判地，掌鏡的攝影師Edward Burtynsky
只想要讓大家透過他的鏡頭，
審視我們到底對地球作了什麼。
我多介紹也無益，
再多的文字堆砌也比不上真實影像的衝擊。
在這裡只節錄Burtynsky在片中的談話：
"If I say this is a terrible thing we're doing to the planet, then people would
either agree or disagree. By not saying what you should see may allow them to
look at something they never looked at and to see their world differently.
So I think many people today sit in that uncomfortable spot where we don't
necessarily wanna give up what we have, but we realize what we're doing is
creating problems that run deep.
It's not a simple right or wrong. It needs a whole new way of thinking."
