Can't type in Chinese...

I cannot type in Chinese in the whole windows system...
Everytime when I try to type in Chinese,
the programs shutdown,
and ask me whether I want to report the preblem to Microsoft or not....
Are the any possible reasons may cause this kind of situation ?
Please tell me, oh ~~~~~~~ I'm gonna crazy.
By the way, here is another symptom since I can't type in Chinese.
When I try to use Windows update,
there always is a error so that I can't keep going my updating job.
Perhaps the two symptoms are related to each other, I guess.
