新聞來源 - BBC Ginola shocked by England failure Former Tottenham and France midfielder David Ginola is still staggered that England did not qualify for Euro 2008. Ginola believes England should be at the finals of "every single tournament, every single competition" and says he is baffled by their underachievement. He told BBC London 94.9: "I do not know why - they have got the players, they have got the quality, but at some stage they are missing something. "France, Germany, Italy are there, and England should be there every time." England failed to qualify for the tournament in Austria And Switzerland - which kicks off on Saturday - after losing 3-2 at home in the final group game to Croatia. The national side's performance is at odds with the strength of the domestic game, with the Premier League supplying three of the four Champions League semi-finalists this season. And Manchester United went on to beat Chelsea in the final, to give England its second European champion in four seasons. Ginola added: "England had two clubs in the final of the Champions League but you don't have England in the European Championship, which represents the best countries in Europe. "I am a bit concerned about that." Hosts Switzerland take on Czech Republic at 1700 BST on Sunday in the opening match of Euro 2008.
