Carlisle praises Hawks By SEKOU SMITH The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 03/29/06 Pacers coach Rick Carlisle spoke glowingly of the Hawks after Wednesday night's game, the first Hawks sweep of the Pacers since the 1984-85 season. "We'll look back and kick ourselves over what might have been. But you have to give Atlanta credit," he said. "They fight hard. They play well. We haven't been our best against them, but they had something to do with that as well. Their athleticism is one of their strengths. They're a little bit of an underrated team, even though their record doesn't show that." INDIANA TIES: You'd think it would be old by now, Harrington playing against his former Indiana teammates. But two years after requesting to be traded — he was moved in a sign-and-trade deal for Stephen Jackson in July of 2004 — it's still one of his favorite games on the calendar. The Pacers were just as eager to see Harrington. "You always want to see family," said Pacers captain and All-Star Jermaine O'Neal, who refers to Harrington as his little brother. "And Al's family no matter where he plays. " But it's "little brother" who has the upper hand this season. "I know those guys and they won't forget this," Harrington said. "They're going to remember this for a long time. And so will I." SOLVING THE HAWKS: No team has struggled against the Hawks' long and athletic lineup this season like the Indiana Pacers, who fell victim to the Hawks for the fourth straight time this season. "They're athletic, but that really doesn't bother us," Jackson said. "They played well. Joe Johnson hit some big shots down the stretch. Al carried them all game. [Childress] came in and played well off the bench and gave them some energy. They wanted the game more than we did. They're a very young, hard-playing team. I love the way they play." Peja Stojakovic has been around for just two of the Pacers' losses to the Hawks but he too was impressed. "It's a problem when they go small, because everyone is the same size and it confuses us offensively," he said. "If you look at that team, we shouldn't have put ourselves in that position. Nothing against Atlanta, but we should be more focused for games like these." 資料來源 http://www.ajc.com/hawks/content/sports/hawks/stories/0330hawknot.html -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.121.3.71
