A China Airlines Airbus A350-900 faced a tyre issue while approaching Amsterda
m Schiphol on October 3.
The aircraft, flying as CI73 from Taipei to Amsterdam, reported a tyre deflati
on and requested runway 27, which is closer to the gate. Air traffic control i
nstead directed the jet to runway 18C, where it landed safely.
The crew also asked for a tow truck to be on standby but managed to vacate the
runway without assistance.
After a ground inspection lasting around four and a half hours, the A350 was c
leared to depart back to Taipei with only a 90-minute delay.
No injuries were reported, and the airline confirmed the incident did not affe
ct passenger safety.
