臉書卦點說明：
划船競賽是南島民族的傳統習俗。包括台灣，夏威夷，紐西蘭以及多數南島民族有這種活
動。甚至中國的吳，越，滬，閩，粵等民族亦有類似的習俗。據古南島語的演化，上述民
族亦是源自南島民族。
划船競賽台灣叫作 ”扒龍船“，百年前叫做 “鬥船”。據佐倉孫三 1895年所著 “臺風
雜記”，稱之 “鬥船”。可見 ”扒龍船“ 是近代的稱呼，南島民族的傳統並無 “龍”
這種神獸。
平埔族的噶瑪蘭人 Kavalan，分布宜蘭一帶。噶瑪蘭人的划船競賽所用的船並無龍頭的裝
飾。而且比賽並無分出勝負。這種划船競賽的方式台灣其他地區沒有。應該是南島民族傳
統的方式。
紐西蘭毛利人的戰鬥獨木洲 waka taua，小隻可容二十人，大隻可容兩百人，船首較低，
船尾較懸，皆有精美雕刻，無有龍頭裝飾。以年代來講，毛利人 5000 年前就離開台灣，
所以確定划船競賽這種風俗源頭就是南島民族。

Boat Festival. In his congratulatory message, President Trump highlighted Ta
iwan’s history and the people of Taiwan’s tradition and culture, and said th
at the United States and Taiwan share the same goal of a more prosperous and f
ree globe. President Trump said: "I send my warmest greetings to those atten
ding the 2019 Washington, D.C. Dragon Boat Festival. Over the past 18 years, t
he Dragon Boat Festival has brought the rich history of Taiwan to the waterfro
nt of the Potomac River for visitors and residents of our Nation’s capital to
enjoy. This event, hosted by the Taiwan-U.S. Cultural Association, helps to f
