New Zealand's new prime minister Jacinda Ardern has committed the country to
erasing its carbon footprint by the middle of the century. The Labour leader,
who becomes the world's youngest female leader, said: "I do anticipate that
we will be a government, as I said during the campaign, that will be
absolutely focused on the challenge of climate change."
紐西蘭新任總理賈欣達．阿爾登承諾，將在本世紀中以前達成紐西蘭「碳足跡」為零的目
標。這位成為全球最年輕女性領袖的「勞工黨」黨魁表示：「一如我在選戰期間所說的，
我預期我們能組閣，並全力聚焦於迎戰氣候變遷。」
The 2050 target would put New Zealand in the vanguard of climate action.
Sweden aims for net zero emissions by 2045. Norway has bid to be carbon
neutral by 2030. Both nations will rely on offsetting residual emissions by
buying international carbon credits and planting trees.
這項2050年目標將讓紐西蘭名列氣候行動的先鋒。瑞典計畫2045年達成「淨排放量」為零
