Google對商業客戶開放60多項應用程式

因應IT企業消費化的趨勢，Google跨出一大步。
11月18日，該公司對其Google Apps客戶解鎖了多達60多項應用程式。當然，這些並不是
新的應用程式，而是一般擁有Google帳號的一般消費者已經使用很久的程式，例如
Google Voices, Blogger, Picasa, 和Google Reader等。
如同企業用戶目前使用的Google Apps Suite的應用程式一樣，Google只是將其解鎖，而
IT管理者自行決定是否將這些程式在員工帳號上啟用。
該公司說，這項決定是基於Product Ideas所蒐集的意見回饋，Product Ideas是Google公
司用以徵求與吸取企業用戶對Google Apps Suite所提出改進與增添功能意見的網站。對
於在企業產品增加這些消費性產品的龐大需求，似乎也證實這些消費性產品的普及性。
該公司同時為其四項App套件重新命名:
The Standard Edition：針對50名以上員工的企業與團體所提供的免費服務，更名為
Google Apps。
The Premier Edition：每年每人收取50元美金費用而提供25 GB的Email儲存容量與其他
功能的服務，改名為Google Apps for Business。
The Government Edition：針對地區、州級、與聯邦機構所提供的FISMA認證的版本，改
名為Google Apps for Government。
The Education Edition：提供給中小學校、大學、和非營利組織的免費服務，改名為
Google Apps for Education。
