2013/05/04 考場：站前地球村 (Nova 樓上 4F) 服務好，但人蠻多的，電梯很多人要排隊等，可以直接走樓梯上 4F 後右轉為考場可帶衛生紙、耳塞 VQVQV (只做填空題，滿分 150, 考 146, unofficial) I: 84 It is no longer possible for a society to regard any living man or woman as a hero. A: 7 (這題是高頻 #1) The following is a recommendation from the Board of Directors of Monarch Books. We recommend that Monarch Books open a café in its store. Monarch, having been in business at the same location for more than twenty years, has a large customer base because it is known for its wide selection of books on all subjects. Clearly, opening the café would attract more customers. Space could be made for the café by discontinuing the children's book section, which will probably become less popular given that the most recent national census indicated a significant decline in the percentage of the population under age ten. Opening a café will allow Monarch to attract more customers and better compete with Regal Books, which recently opened its own café. Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation is likely to have the predicted result. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation. (前六題填空：單-雙-三) 第一回 2-3-1, 第二回、第三回都是 2-2-2。第三回明顯變難很多，猜測是加考。填空題全是新的，沒有來自 OG, PP2，閱讀題有機經。閱讀大多是主旨題，邏輯題三回 60 題中只考三題。整體而言是中間偏難...因為有許多陷阱有一題句子等價是三組同義字大多都有兩組同義字做干擾第一題講到 abundant drive and enery 然後 still, ambition ... breathtaking 和 discernible 選一個 (我選 breathtaking) 容易忽略的轉折詞： hardly 考一題，選 unique, analogue notwithstanding 考一題，提示字 moderate, 選 vehement nonetheless 考一題 supposedly 考一題 (較難，選 timid, diffident) 一題關鍵字是 change, 選 modifies, altered 一題講水手開船撞冰山 (發現已經來不及) 的，答案是 gradual, imperceptible (這題我寫錯了) (gradual: moving, changing, or developing by fine or often imperceptible degrees)，不能選 negligible, 這個和 insignificant 是同義字第一回冒號題就出現三題，都在句子等價裡。三回共有六題冒號題，務必注意。有一題超短，完全背出來了 The new drug was useful, but unfortunately its effect was largely (i) palliative rather than (ii) curative. ^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^ 一題議員 ______ 羅斯福新政，nonetheless 只照顧自己的選民。選 bemoaned 有一題出的很好，選 debunk (後面有 errors) 和 originality (因為前面有 first) 有一題講環境開發，選 successively 和 sequentially 因為後面有對比 simultaneously 有一題考莊重/輕浮很機車，不考 levity, flippancy, frivolity 這些字答案選 banter/raillery 開玩笑有一題考要買房子還是租房子，第一格是從社會角度來看選項 (A) difficult (B) lucrative (C) beneficial (選 C 因為後面有 encourages) 第二格是從經濟角度來看選項 (D) easy (E) good (F) irrational (GRE 選項竟然是 easy, good!) 選 easy 但不確定第三格是說買房子在經濟不好時比較跑不掉我選 less likely to move 有一題是挑文章的毛病，選 stylistically infelicity 和 minor 第三回第一題選 culpability，因為題目開始是 "Blame" ... 這題不好做... 有一題講蝴蝶、青蛙幼年和成熟期的選 precursor, forerunner 第三回最後面閱讀題考長江水稻 (考到爛掉的題目) 還有一題報紙發行量的題目那是 2011/08/06 考過的 (應該也是常客) 專門去背題目的，考完吃個飯就忘得差不多了下次再磨練，希望有同學幫忙補充，拼湊出全貌... by 麟渡兮老師 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.139.241.164
