V: 700 Q: 740 作文之後的第一個section是數學，當時還沒從倉促寫完作文的心情中平復，開始寫數學時還滿緊張的，有一種第一題就做錯的感覺。然後我又怕自己粗心，所以就算遇到機經題我還是花狠多時間讀題目驗算，以至於時間到我好像才寫到24題。後來看到成績的第一個數字時((700))，我直接把它聯想成數學，當時想說，完了～要重考，而且有辱我媽媽是數學老師的名聲。再仔細一看，原來700是verbal，我整個人開心到傻了，這2-3個月的努力沒有白費 ((雖然Q:740還是有辱我媽媽的名聲，而且也有辱自己小時後代表學校參加數學競賽的名聲,不過分數也夠用了！)) Issue 72 "One can best understand the most important characteristics of a society by studying its major cities." 另一個是什麼忘記了 Argument 167 A folk remedy* for insomnia, the scent in lavender flowers, has now been proved effective. This shows that over a short period of time lavender cures insomnia. *A folk remedy is usually a plant-based form of treatment common to traditional forms of medicine, ones that developed before the advent of modern medical services and technology. 我遇到的類比和反義全是機經題，填充只記得兩題： ** The professor has a reputation of fractiousness, however, his coworkers see his ______ 我選 affable ** 一題是說天文學家對什麼的觀察，我選ameliorate 第一個短閱讀很好寫，是描述industrialization和modernization. 第一個問題是問本篇文章主旨，我選描述兩個現象那個答案，第二題問比較這兩個東西，我選industrialization比modernization容易定義，用quantities可以明確得知一個區域的工業化與否第二個短閱讀是關於某作家還是藝術家被兩派的人接受，我不太記得題目了 >^< 長閱讀是coral reef那篇。我是從3月中旬開始準備GRE的，因為白天要上班，加上前幾個星期剛好遇到趕project，其實真正讀書的時間不多而且狠零碎，平均起來每天可能不到4個小時。5月前都是背紅寶書((而且都是通車的時候背))，4月開始盡可能晚上都作一～兩回ETS的題目，然後5月起背機經，練填充、閱讀和看作文題目及練模板。雖然有多看作文題目，運氣也不錯issue剛好是看到的題目，但沒練習寫過，所以寫完幾乎時間也用完了((只剩 30秒左右吧))，所以真的建議大家有機會的話多練習寫作文，對時間的掌握可以更熟練。另外dropbox五月機經當中有人提到issue如何抽到高頻，我本著寧可信其有的態度試一下，真的讓我抽道高頻題，建議大家把那篇文章讀一讀，也許就抽到高頻題了。這不是我第一次考GRE，5年前碩士快畢業時也想過考RE申請博士，當時太驕傲，覺得 RE要考好應該是要把英文底子練好，所以太鐵齒的沒看機經，結果verbal大概才考400多吧，果然當時好傻好天真。真的要謝謝版上的人大力提供的機經,祕笈和經驗，這個成績足夠讓我笑好久 lol，也祝大家考試順利！ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 98.154.36.94
