除同意soniagarden的看法外
前面有despite of...
兩格應該是反義沒錯
原答案會給A 可能是單看reconsideration對應scrutiny
但文意是指目前已under reconsideration
表示是Freud's theory已面臨反思（表達別人對其看法的更迭）
如選A
依w-m對scrutiny是a searching study, inquiry, or inspection
則最後一句會變成該理論持續的探索
但選B
criticism為the scientific investigation of literary documents
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
跟under reconsideration有較明確的對應 皆屬他人對理論的評價
算是加強程度的說明
除面臨反思外 還被持續評論
此外題幹中也沒有任何反應其理論為notoriety的詞
我個人也是傾向B 一點淺見 請多指教
