offers from prospective employers. But at Mira Vista College last year, only
70 percent of the seniors who informed the placement office that they would
be seeking employment had found full-time jobs within three months after
graduation, and only half of these graduates were employed in their major
field of study. To help Mira Vista's graduates find employment, we must offer
more courses in business and computer technology and hire additional job
counselors to help students with their resumes and interviewing skills."

The following appeared as part of an article in a local Beauville newspaper.
"According to a government report, last year the city of Dillton reduced its
corporate tax rate by 15 percent; at the same time, it began offering
relocation grants and favorable rates on city utilities to any company that
would relocate to Dillton. Within 18 months, two manufacturing companies
moved to Dillton, where they employ a total of 300 people. Therefore, the
fastest way for Beauville to stimulate economic development and hence reduce
unemployment is to provide tax incentives and other financial inducements
that encourage private companies to relocate here."

長閱居然兩次考試考得一模依樣
可見ETS隨機出題之草率(太棒了!!)
但我第二次見到反而更焦慮
因為很有可能上次考試就栽在這裡
所以更加不敢放空
文章是有關於黑奴解放運動 之前也有板友回報過
前半部分講了一個傳統的觀點
認為黑人解放運動是慢慢漸進展開的(Growth)
下半部分是講一位學者他不認同這種Growth觀點
因為黑人的平等人權早就是美國立國憲法所保護的
有關於Growth的概念考了前兩題
所以遇到請先讀後半段
後兩題就用猜的了
第四題是作者會怎麼想之類的題目
短閱
10/30考了西班牙女詩人 之前回報過
它的詩有關於愛情
但當時的批評家不懂得欣賞
作者站在褒揚女詩人的立場
11/2考了有關於冰床中冷凍的CO2與氣溫的關係 也回報過
總之是地球的平均氣溫會有周期性升高降低
科學家發現在氣溫高的時期 冰床中的CO2也非常的高
計量
我覺得這不是謠言--現在機考的數學比pp及過去的考題複雜
單就這兩次的經驗而言
比較偏重一些公式的利用
以及計算的能力
這可能會對數學基礎不好的人很吃力
但千萬不要緊張
頂多就是比較像我們國中基測 大學學測
只要有高一以下 還有高二簡單的排列組合
課本上的概念 及解例題的能力 就很足夠
綜合一下這兩次碰到一些概念性的範圍
統計部分一直考 MEAN(平均) MEDIAN(中位數) RANGE(全距)
MODE(眾數) SV(標準差) 的觀念
有一組數據經過平移計算 只有MEAN會變 SV不變
請了解定義後用看用想的 一旦動筆大量時間就報銷了
還有很愛考平面座標系
斜率 點斜式 兩條垂直線斜率相乘等於-1
二次方程式有考根與係數
比大小: sq(??0)+sq(50) sq(80)+sq(?0)
化減到最後一定要帶入根號2,3,5的概數的和 而且數值很接近不敢貿然選 很耗
提供一個方法: sq(50)~sq(49)=7 sq(80)~sq(81)=9
會比直接估計根數一位帶入來得準
統計看圖:
給了連續兩年各月份累積precipitaion(雨雪雹的總稱CAT單字)的長條圖
計量方式是雨水的降雨高度(ft.)
某年有一月份這percipitation有一半是下雪貢獻的
但是10呎的雪會融成相當於1呎的降雨量
所以要把雨水量換成雪高度
題目問的是降雪多少吋(1 ft.=12 in.) 所以又要換算
真的是很無聊卻又費解的題目
消費者買電腦的滿意度 以百分比表示
y軸是滿意度 x軸是花的摳摳 上面分布了代表各種機種的點
問題一 提出了一個不等式的預測 要算有幾個點符合的
如果沒概念解出不等式代表的範圍 要把線畫在圖上
就一個一個帶入驗算....
我算了幾個很廢時間有點荒
還好他的不等式預測很爛一點都不準
所以就大膽的猜
問題二 問滿意度除以花費(C/P值)哪個最小 是各點連接原點的斜率
