[SC. ] Dustin PP184題 考場思路解析
感謝前面兩位前輩大大的分享，
在此Dustin也對此題做最後的遺漏補強。
考場上，是無法像我們做詳解一樣，一個一個把考點條列出來的。
尤其是有些牽涉到邏輯清晰與句意流暢的考點，
第一次讀更是難以發掘。
因此，很多時候我們必須要有正確的解題流程，
才能穩定時間，一步一步往前找到其他考點。
這裡就我手寫我心，大概講一下Dustin做題的思路。

首先，看到題目畫線部分長度為中，首先觀察選項與非畫線部分的交界
是否能夠分成3-2 or 4-1 or 2-2-1的差別。
（如果選項只有一兩個字那就是短畫線部分，要直接讀五個選項全部
如果選項是整句劃線，要直接讀A選項。）
發現began translation...或者began traslating...並沒有差別
就算有人會覺得 Ving對N可能有冗長與否的問題
但冗長與否屬於流暢性的考點，不像文法那樣是大是大非可以直接刪去的考點
所以選擇不判斷，予以保留。
接下來，在沒有其他點可解的情況下，
標準流程中是直接把非劃線部分接著剩下的選項中的第一個選項整句讀一遍
邊讀邊找考點。（這時候是讀A）
這時便會發現A選項的第一個that子句中並沒有主要成份，
只塞了插入語（, taking him seven years until completion,），刪去。
凡是解掉一個點，請往下掃其他選項的相同位置，看看有沒有同樣的錯誤。
這時發現並沒有。繼續往剩下選項的第一個看。
B選項粗看看似沒有問題。
往C看。看到had直接進入判定「過去完成式」的考點模式。
需注意，過去完成式的考點考的是：
1. 是否有另一個過去時間要分出先後 2. 先發生的事情是否為後面那件事的先決條件
這時發現嚴重的邏輯錯誤：
had taken 7 yrs to complete不可能在began之前。
沒有先完成再開始的道理。直接刪去C。往下掃發現E，刪去。
這時，剩下選項BD。
任何時候剩下兩個選項時，進入「逐一比對模式」。
這個模式很重要，因為最後兩個選項
常常決勝點就在「句意邏輯的差別」跟「寫法的流暢性」
這兩種考點只看單一選項是看不太出來的。一定要兩個選項相比，
任何一個微小的寫法差異都有可能是考點。

差異在
1. his translation 還是 translating
2. a work到底是Illiad還是translation of the Illiad
3. took him 7 yrs to complete還是took 7 yrs until completion
4. pronounce A B 還是 pronounce A as B
這裡要跟大家說明的是前面兩位大大都沒有講到的，
考點取捨的順序問題。
往往都是這樣的取捨順序決定了最後兩個選項誰會選對誰會選錯。
Tip 1：不確定的點，寧可不解也不要硬解。
像是1. 剛剛第一步看3-2的時候就不確定，那就不要硬解。抉擇點絕對不只一個。
3. 你若是不知道"take 時間/成本 to V"的文法的話，也不要硬解
4. 你若是不記得慣用語的話，也可以跳過。
Tip 2: 句意合理優於簡潔流暢
2. 是句意考點：到底是Illad本身花了七年時間呢？還是翻譯作品？
1. 3. 是流暢性考點：
意思一樣，但是用to complete還是用until completion比較好？
用translation還是translating？
建議先解句意合理性，重讀整句話的其他部分，
才會發現後面的「that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope’s contemporary,
pronounced the greatest translation in any language.」
你才會確定that代替的the work原來是翻譯。所以選B。
做題流程總結：
1.
看到題目畫線部分長度為中，首先觀察選項與非畫線部分的交界
如果選項只有一兩個字那就是短畫線部分，要直接讀五個選項全部
如果選項是整句劃線，要直接讀A選項。
2. 凡是解掉一個點，請往下掃其他選項的相同位置，看看有沒有同樣的錯誤。
3. 若沒有，繼續往剩下選項的第一個看。
4. 任何時候剩下兩個選項時，進入「逐一比對模式」

而我相信滿手武器還是要搭配實戰的正確思路才是好戰士。
詳解的幫助侷限在：考試中，人的思考不會像是詳解般直接條列展開。
因此，模擬考試真實情況的思路，我個人覺得是蠻重要的。
就像是兩位大大在版上都有著為數不少的心得文，
心得文中，各式各樣考生的親身經歷，才是大家借重的寶藏。
