after posting just three in first nine seasons of career ... Leads the Warriors

Our take:
What do you want out of the first guy off your bench? Versatility? Check.
Veteran leadership? Check. Instant offense? Check. Derek Fisher is exactly the
kind of sixth man every team needs. He can come in for Baron Davis or he can
play alongside him. He can run the point or play off the ball. He is there to
help a young rookie like Monta Ellis adjust to the league. And of course, he's
going to give you good numbers.

I think Derek's a steadying influence. Every now and again, he gets a little
out of his territory in terms of shooting shots... handling the ball and he's
making good decisions and he's a guy you have to guard and he's very tough
defensively.

A fan's take:
He's the man. He's efficient, and now as the starter, he makes the Warriors
look more intelligent on the court. The maturity he brings to that young team
is nothing to be measured by statistics. If he's still with them next year, I
think he, with or without B-Diddy, will help that team to improve. Plus, he had
a couple of games in a row with 10 assists. For Fisher, that's amazing!
