Taylor Ward will undergo an MRI exam on his neck and shoulder area on Monday. Advice: Ward was injured when he crashed into the right field wall during Friday's game against the Athletics, then sat out the remainder of the weekend. The 28-year-old outfielder told reporters that he's confident he won't require a trip to the injured list and that he could play through the issue, but the Angels want to play things safe here. There should be another update on his status after Monday's exam. Advice: The left-hander gave up two runs in a non-save situation in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader and received a visit from the trainer during that appearance. Chapman convinced the trainer that he was alright and wanted to continue pitching -- which he did for two more batters -- before ultimately leaving the game.
