Greg Bird to undergo ankle surgery to remove broken spur
New York Yankees first baseman Greg Bird will miss six to eight weeks after
he undergoes surgery Tuesday to remove a small broken spur on the outside of
his right ankle, the team announced Monday.
The surgery will be performed by Dr. Martin O'Malley, a foot and ankle
specialist, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. O'Malley also
performed a surgery on Bird last summer that removed a separate problematic
bone from his right ankle.

經過專家的評估之後，決定在明天直接開刀根治，移除右腳踝的骨刺
預計將缺席六至八個星期的時間
至於Bird的空缺則可能會由 Tyler Austin 以及 Neil Walker 來共同分攤
