Mets optioned 1B Ike Davis to Triple-A Las Vegas. Davis had just one hit in his last 15 at-bats and was batting .161/.242/.258 over his first 55 games this season. The Mets needed to make changes after losing five straight games to the Marlins in consecutive weekends, so Davis will have to work through his struggles in the minors.
