The Padres are considering moving Andrew Cashner into their rotation, though general manager Josh Byrnes doesn't consider the move to be imminent. Cashner has been up and down out of the Padres bullpen this year, posting a 3.70 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 26/16 K/BB ratio over 24 1/3 innings. Many have felt that he's been destined for the bullpen all along, as he's dealt with shoulder issues and doesn't have great control.
