CSNBayArea.com's Andrew Baggarly reports that Brian Wilson will undergo
season-ending surgery to repair structural damage in his right elbow.
Wilson will get a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews on Sunday, but he
anticipates having a second career Tommy John surgery and missing the rest of
2012. Giants manager Bruce Bochy indicated he would go with a
closer-by-committee in the interim, but Santiago Casilla is probably the guy
to own in fantasy leagues. Wilson is set to enter his final year of
arbitration this offseason before hitting free agency heading into 2014.

Carl Crawford (wrist) ''more than likely'' will play in his first extended
spring training game on Tuesday.
"He'd like to play at least by Tuesday," manager Bobby Valentine said. "He's
taken a lot of batting practice. He might have even been part of the
inspiration for our play yesterday.'' Crawford was recently set back in his
recovery by elbow soreness but participated in batting practice this weekend.
He is expected to be used as a DH-only initially in extended spring training
games and should join the Boston outfield by early May.
