CBS Sport fantasy news News: Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford said Friday he suffered a strained left elbow after an MRI revealed the issue earlier this week, the Boston Globe reports. Crawford, already on the 15-day disabled list while recovering from offseason wrist surgery, had the test taken earlier this week. "This was the week I was scheduled to play games," Crawford said. "It's just a little setback. It's just a strain and we're going to have to work on it a little bit. I'm guessing I'll be playing some games next week, hopefully. It was frustrating because I was looking forward to playing those games. It got pushed back a week, so I'll just have to wait a little longer and be patient." Analysis: Crawford said he first started experiencing pain in his elbow during the middle of spring training, but the issue was not related to his wrist injury. "I tried to start throwing and I felt it," he said. "I was working on it for a while and they decided to have me come up and get it checked. It was a little surprising, but I guess that motion where I flick it at the end was what really was causing the pain." Crawford was hoping to play in extended spring training games this week, but is unsure when he will return to Fort Myers, Fla. to continue his rehab work. Fantasy owners should continue to reserve Crawford in most formats for now.
