OF/1B Kyle Blanks likely would return to the Padres as the left fielder were the Padres to trade LF Ryan Ludwick before the deadline. The Padres want to be able to make a decision on the future of Blanks, 24, before season's end given the fact that Anthony Rizzo, 21, is now the first baseman of the future. Blanks is hitting .390/.429/.780 with four homers and 10 RBI in 15 games for Class AAA Tucson since a promotion from Class AA San Antonio earlier this month. (Yahoo!
