C J.P. Arencibia was optioned to Class AAA Las Vegas after the game. C John
Buck is eligible to be reinstated from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.
"The experience has been great," Arencibia said. "Being around these guys
makes it really tough for me to leave more, just because I really enjoyed
myself. Everyone's treated me great. I just want to get back as fast as
possible." Arencibia ended an 0-for-15 drought when he blooped a run-scoring
single to right in the ninth inning of Toronto's 5-4 loss to Oakland on
Wednesday. It was Arencibia's fifth major league start. His debut was Aug. 7,
when he went 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double and three RBI.
