The Diamondbacks are considering using Brandon Webb (shoulder) as a reliever.
Webb hasn't even faced live hitters yet, so he still has some significant
hurdles to clear. Still, time is running out for him to return this season.
"We're going to have to discuss that," said Diamondbacks pitching coach Mel
Stottlemyre Jr. "I think he would be up for that, but I need to sit down with
(interim General Manager Jerry Dipoto) and find out the direction we want to
head with this." The bullpen could be the quickest way to ensure his return
this season, as he wouldn't need to build up his workload over several weeks
