I am only a middle reliever, but the closer on my team is very much likely to be traded before the July 31st trade deadline. I have been a closer before so the team knows I can do the job. Meanwhile, after a rather ugly performance in mid-May where I gave up six hits and five runs in less than an inning, I've been quite effective. In fact, in my last 12 innings of relief, I have a 3.00 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP, a 10.5 K/9, and a 3.5 strikeout to walk ratio. My BABIP has been .357 which is high, but my home park has something to do with that as well.
