day-to-day.

News: Manager Mike Scioscia admitted that a demotion to Triple-A could be an
option if Howie Kendrick doesn't break out of his slump.
Impact: Scioscia pointed to the team's handling of Kevin Jepsen as an
example, but he also wants to give Kendrick a chance to get back on track
before doing anything drastic. "It's part of the process of establishing
himself," Scioscia explained. "But right now, we think he is going to be okay
without that."
如果Kendrick一直走不出低潮,可能要被放到3A.

after straining his right calf.
Impact: The brittle Bradley limped back to the dugout after suffering the
injury legging out a high chopper. The Cubs are calling his status
day-to-day, which is an obvious redundancy. Reed Johnson came on to replace
Bradley, with Kosuke Fukudome moving to right field.

suffering a shoulder injury.
Impact: Cabrera was hurt sliding into second base to break up a double play
after leading off the game with a single. His shoulder made contact with
Twins shortstop Brendan Harris' leg, but the impact didn't seem all that
major. However, Cabrera immediately went down in a heap and had to be helped
off the field with what appeared to be a dislocated shoulder.

on his mechanics while sidelined. There's no word yet on when he might begin
a minor league rehab assignment, but it appears that a rehab stint could be
getting closer.

Impact: Carlos Beltran is out of the lineup for a third straight game with
what is being called a stomach virus, but the Mets don't believe that he is
suffering from the swine flu. We'll continue to follow this story as more
news becomes available.

remainder of the season with a stress fracture in his right shoulder.
Impact: This is tough news for the Nationals, as Flores had a .311/.382/.522
line in 90 at-bats this season. Josh Bard should continue to get the majority
of starts at catcher, with Wil Nieves backing him up. Neither represents a
viable option in NL-only leagues.
