Robbie Savage has managed to avoid a driving ban after claiming he'd be
unable to use public transport in the interim due to the fact that most
members of the general public can't stand him.
Despite being clocked speeding at 99mph on the A1 in North Yorkshire last
month, Savage managed to escape without a ban after his lawyer claimed the
"Match of the Day" pundit would be subjected to constant abuse on a daily
basis were he forced to ferry himself around on buses, trains and the like.

Morris also told Northallerton magistrates court that Savage is already
routinely abused in the street by football fans and that his client's
230,000-pound Bentley Mulsanne is one of the few "safe havens" he has left in
this world.
