Mastering English speaking requires years of toil, especially when you are from a non-English speaking country. First, you have to work on the pronunciation. to pronounce distinctly, you need to learn either phonics or KK phonetic symbols first. Even if you have taken classes concerning pronunciation, however, you still find it tricky from time to time to make foreigners understand what word you are mentioning, for not all the teachers in taiwan pronounce accurately; in fact, only few of them have undergone professional training for teaching english speaking, let alone sufficient experience. Also, accents pose another problem for learning English speaking. It is common that people from different countries have different accents; however, people from the same country, America, also adopt different accents. Since there are varied accents in English, learning English speaking becomes even harder, as well as more confusing.
