[News] Worst flooding in decades kills
Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue declared a state of
emergency for 17 counties on Tuesday after more
than 500 millimeters of rain in the past week
turned creeks into torrents and killed at
least nine people.
It’s the worst flooding in the Atlanta area since
the state began keeping detailed climate
records after World War II.
