Discussion about "Loyalty and bravety are fundamentals of patriotism" Nearly all people in the world love their countries. Our country are the place we live in, which protect us and offer us the necessities of life, and all memories, happy, wrathful, or sad, are mostly occur in our countries we live in. However, most people say they love their countries, but few can really realize it by carrying out some patriotic deeds. As the proverb goes, "Loyalty and bravery are fundamentals of patriotism.", it's a very good attitude we have toward our country. Loyalty and bravery have been the moral foundation of our country for thousands of years. Many ancient heroes spared no efforts to fight for patriotism and tried their best to exhibit loyalty and bravery, even sacrifice their lives. Owing to their loyalty and bravery but not selfishness and treachery, our enemies were thwarted, and our country was away from being ruined. The two are the kind of abilities that shouldn't be lacking of, and they are also the principles of life. If we don't enhance our loyalty and bravery, we may be become weakling and dare not to make a breakthrough, and then we will fall short of our country and parents' expectations. Until we have grown really loyal and brave, the spirit will extend to all of our performances and deportment. We can be vigorous and courageous when confronted with anything in our daily lives. There are many examples which are the exhibitions of loyalty and bravery in ancient time. For example, Chang-Chien, a missionary in Han dynasty, who went to HsiungNu for his missions on the behlf of emperor Han-Wu, was detained by Chan-Yu. If he surrendered to him, he must become a prominent official in HsiungNu and have a wealthy life. However, he was willing to live a wretched life instead of surrendering to them; because wanted to come back to Han and be loyal to his country. What a great spirit he has! Apart from Chang-Chien, Wen Tien-Hsiang and Yue Fei are both symbolic of loyalty and bravery. These examples which are taught by teachers really inspire us. In conclusion, almost all deeds of patriotism are resulted from loyalty and bravery. Nowadays, loyalty and bravery are still essential in life. It is without doubt that we can't do without loyalty and bravery if we want to fulfill greater deeds. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.116.104.158
