[單字] clunky在形容opera時是指冗長或生硬？
前輩好，我看書看到一段是在講菲律賓拳王曼尼帕奎奧參政的：
One day, on the fifth floor corridor in the Senate building,
where de Lima still has her office in Room 526, I bumped into
‘The Destroyer’ as he waited for a lift. Like many of the leading
players in this clunky political soap opera, his office was also on
the fifth floor.
我的理解：
某天在參議院大樓的五樓走廊上，德里瑪的辦公室就在526室，
我撞見毀滅者（帕奎奧的綽號）在電梯前面等候。
他跟許多【冗長clunky?】政治肥皂劇的主要演員一樣，辦公室都在五樓。
問題：1. 請問clunky 在這裡要理解成什麼意思比較好？
愚蠢？冗長？生硬？
2. 肥皂劇裡面的主角辦公室都在五樓嗎？
看到這邊我笑出來，原來美劇也有ptt五樓文化？（還是我孤陋寡聞）
