[求譯] 愛麗絲夢遊仙境中的一句話
原文：
Alice was too small to reach the key on the table. She tried and tried to
climb up the table leg but it was too slippery. When she had tired herself
out with trying, poor little Alice sat down and cried.
問題：
When she had tired herself out with trying,poor....
請問When she had try herself out with trying 這句話該如何翻譯？
try out 是 嘗試的意思，但是這邊用個herself反身代名詞，
不懂這邊herself的意義和用法，with trying 這邊的trying也是當嘗試的意思嗎？
這樣按照字句翻譯會變成：當她和嘗試一起試著她自己，句意並不通順。
