I received my Ph.D. degree in XXX from XXX University in the end of this
summer. My doctoral dissertation was focused on the development of a novel
pattern coating technique –“XXX Coating.” In order to bring this brand
new technique alive, I built up several systems with multidisciplinary
knowledge/skills such as coatings, microfluidics, microfiber optics,
mechanical & electrical controls, CNC micro-machining, and digital image
processing. With years of striving, I have found the key of parallel
scale-up and established a great foundation of mass production for XXX
Coating.
During my study, I participated in 10 research projects and gained strong
experiences in multiple engineering fields especially in coatings and
microfluidics. Instead of trial-and-error, theoretical and numerical
approaches are my reliable tools to solve issues. The multidisciplinary
training also makes me a good problem solver in engineering. In 20XX, I
volunteered to be the conference secretary of the XXX symposium with 92
participants from 7 countries. This special experience has shaped me
into a good listener that can perceive the actual needs of others even in
different cultures. This characteristic helps me to work efficiently in
international teams.
I’m currently freelancing and pursuing new opportunities. Although I’m
new to the industry, I have numerous possibilities. I’m well-trained and
well-prepared for facing new challenges.
