[文法] 想請教各位一段句子的文法問題
如題，想請教以下句子的文法，
The man whom the police thought to be dead appeared in the park last night.
關係字句後面的句子，原句不是the police thought (that) the man was dead.嗎,為何
變成關係子句後，不是the man whom the police thought (that) was dead appeared..
.....,而是變成to be dead.....呢?
麻煩各位幫我解答一下，感謝!!!
