Global city 這個名詞創於1991 年全球城市（英語：global city）又稱世界級城市或國際大都會，指在社會、經濟、文化及政治層面直接影響全球事務的城市。近年，基於全球化（即全球金融、電訊和交通）的擴張，全球城市漸漸為人熟悉。 2014年全球城市的排名墨西哥城 35名台北市 40名地小人稠的新加坡與香港排名第九與第五這兩個城市都沒舉辦過大型的國際賽事我還是認為最後一段過去20年來 ....continued to grow as 我認為這個as 很重要因為已經成為 an economic and cultural center of international importance. 用邏輯來推若墨西哥城沒有舉辦國際賽事他就不是global city 了嗎? 但他若在經濟與文化倒退回20年前的水準他就很確定不是global city ※ 引述《summroak (summroak)》之銘言： : Which of these indicates that Mexico is a global city? : a.
