thesis commmittee. Dr. Garcia, a toxicologist, is her major
professor. Dr. Williams, a fisheries biologist, is on the
committee, too; her field of expertise is fish pathology,
the study of the health problems of fish. The last member of
Emma's committee is Dr. Rubin, a professor in a related
department-aquatic chemistry.
