Why would you know it?
A person would only know IT if it refers to things, not actions.
You know that the CEO will retire, so you say you know.
If the CEO will then take a job as a waiter at AppleBee's, and you know this
restaurant, then you know it (the restaurant).
“Yes, I know it! I know Applebee's”
