[請益] 翻譯問題
這篇是想請問翻譯的重點該如何抓?
一開始練翻譯總是會想要逐字翻出來
然後總是會聽到有人說重要意思翻出來就好，不用完全一樣
那問題是所謂的"重要的意義"該如何判斷?
例:所有我們做的事就像是記者的工作，包括做研究、訪問人們及寫報告。
(X)All of the work we do are just like the work of a reporter, including
research, interviewing people, and writing reports.
(O)Like a reporter, we do research, interview people and write reports.

再翻回英文時
像一個記者，我們做研究、訪問人們及寫報告。
似乎沒有提到中文所強調的"所有我們做的事"
但我覺得這才是中文的重點，後面的只是概括舉例而已
例:金馬獎是華語電影工作者最榮耀與溫馨的回憶片段。
The Golden Horse Awards are the greatest honor available to the individuals
who work in the Chinese-language film industry, and a wellspring of wonderful
memories to their winners.

這反而是英文多了很多中文沒有的意思
The Golden Horse Awards is the most honorable and sweetest memory to
Chinese-language film workers.
不是比較貼近嗎?
突然想到這問題沒有找到我心中理想的例子
希望各位可以懂我的意思

臺灣的城市屋頂，是許多中下階層人士，或勞工們租賃蝸居之所。特別是在大
臺北地區的城市屋頂，有許多外地來此打拼的人，不得已必須寄居屋頂的鐵皮
屋裡。冬冷夏熱的鐵皮屋，卻也孕育了許多城市文明的創造者。

冬冷夏熱的鐵皮屋
其意思為鐵皮屋的環境很差
但直接翻為 The condition in iron-made houses is harsh.
應該不會有好分數吧?
