[求譯] 幫忙看看我翻的是不是正確？

上面這個網頁，是介紹美國一個有關「出現眼球全黑的恐怖孩童」的都市傳說故事
那文章後半，有提出3種解釋，但最後一個解釋，我一直翻不太好，
我把原文和我翻譯文字列出，打黃標是我覺得很奇怪的，麻煩版上前輩幫忙指正：

既然有像buckwild這種節目，對於這件事情可能牽扯到狡猾的孩童，實在不用太驚訝
(查維基百科，buckwild好像是某個青少年為主角的實境節目)
In some ways, this is just as terrifying as the demon explanation, and far more
likely.
某種程度上，這跟「惡魔解釋」一樣恐怖，而且更有可能
There are hundreds of thousands of runaway children and they often get swept up
into gangs and illegal activity.

What if it goes further than this?

inducting them into his/her ‘family’ and then unleashing them upon the public?

One could argue–and, in fact, many are–that the government does this on a
daily basis.
或許有人辯稱，事實上，政府每天都做這種事情
What's to say the black eyed kids aren’t a part of, or symbolic of, an
experiment gone wrong, or an occult project cut loose?
又或許，這些黑眼孩童，是某個出錯的實驗或是神祕計畫洩漏出的一部分
