想請問一下 Trade was the mainstay of the urban economy in the Middle East, as caravans negotiated the surrounding desert, restricted only by access to water and by ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ mountain ranges. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 最後這一個子句的意思是什麼? 是形容前面的 surrounding desert 被水路及山脈所困住? 還是說沙漠限制了caravans 以至於他們只能從水路及山脈貿易? -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 36.228.21.237
