感謝回覆，抱歉第2個問題沒寫清楚，我原意是若刪掉"the road"，對於文意 的認定上會不會有差異？（我知道有些句子會寫得很清楚"across the street from..."、"across the river from..."等等） ※ 編輯: vics 來自: 163.23.102.100 (12/01 11:28)

差異只有在提供形容的細節 不然讀者也可以解讀為across
