我的試譯：
平溪天燈吸引很多遊客。這項多采多姿的天燈施放活動，據說源自於清朝。
當時盜匪成群打家劫舍，逼得多數居民逃亡到四周的山上。等到浩劫之後，
盜匪揚長而去時，留守的村民便以施放天燈作為安全訊號，通知逃難的居民
可以返家。
The Pingxi Sky Latern attracts many tourists. This interesting custom
of releasing Sky Latern was started since Ching Dynasty. At that time the
robbers gathered together and robbered the residents so that residents were
forced to hide and run away arouond the mountains. After the diaster the
robbers were all gone, the villigers stayed in the town release the Sky Latern
as a signal to inform the villigers who hide in the mountains could come home.
提問：
1.) 第一句，就是照著句子翻，但用英文來看，是否恰當？
2.）第二句，多采多姿的活動，不知道用什麼單字才合語意。
3.）浩劫，譯成diaster是否恰當。
4.）還有些文法或用詞上錯誤，還待版友指教。謝謝。
5.）此題配分為15分，不知道這樣子會剩下幾分 XD 還請版友提供意見。
PS：本文為原PO就看到文章後，直接試翻，並沒有邊查字典。
所以可能會有很多錯誤 XD。
因為考試才開始試著翻譯句子，也發現原來自己英文寫作（還有英翻中）很差。
打算考試後，要開始每天試著中翻英和英翻中了。
