[文法] 有關more of +名詞 的用法

想請教一下板上的前輩，小弟在做指考的題目時，看到有一個句子 By 1900, Carnegie Steel produced more of the metal than all of Great Britain. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 請問一下上面畫線的部分是否可以換為 more metals? 上面畫線部分的 the metal是否代表集合名詞，所以才要用more of , 若只是要強調A比B多，就只需用more A than B即可?例如 I have more books than bill. 謝謝 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.124.55.62
