Question:
Consider the WSS process x[n]=A cos(Ωn+ψ) where ψis uniformly distributed
between 0 and 2π and the other parameters are deterministic.
(a) Is there an advantage to use Bartlett method over the periodogram?explain.
(b) Is there an advantage to using Modified periodogram over the periodogram?explain.
(c) Does your answer to part (a) change if you are to estimate the PSD of
y[n]=x[n]+w[n], where x[n] is as above and w[n] is a zero-mean white
noise process? explain.
