球員 Newcastle defender David Rozehnal told the CTK news agency that he thought it was a "playable group" and said he was looking forward to a great atmosphere at the tournament's opening game, against co-hosts Switzerland. Osasuna midfielder Jaroslav Plasil shared Rozehnal's optimism, telling CTK that "at first glance, we have a good group" -- and that he expected that he and Swiss team-mate Xavier Margairaz would wind each other up about the opening game as the day approached. Kobenhavn midfielder Libor Sionko was relieved to have avoided Group C, and matches against the Netherlands, Italy and France, and described the Czech group as "very acceptable." National team captain Tomas Rosicky struck a more cautious note than his team-mates, warning that although "we have easier opponents on paper" that "the reality could be totally different." The Arsenal playmaker also emphasized the importance of the opening game against Switzerland. On his website, goalkeeper Petr Cech was more upbeat, writing that "all our opponents are playable" and that, as hosts, Switzerland might be a little nervous in their opening match. Striking a similar note, striker Jan Koller thought that Switzerland could be under pressure from their fans, and welcomed the chance to play in the tournament's opening game. "At the Euro in Portugal we waited four days or so for our first game," the Monaco forward told CTK. "This will definitely be better." Young Wolfsburg defender Jan Simunek was also happy with the draw, describing Switzerland as being "on paper, the easiest opponent". Hamburg midfielder David Jarolim was less confident, pointing out that the Swiss had proved their strength at the last World Cup, and that it's always difficult to play a team on their home territory. Slavia Praha forward Stanislav Vlcek shared Libor Sionko's relief at avoiding Group C, describing Italy, France and the Netherlands as a "deadly combination" and said he expected the Czechs to progress. 教練和其他 Talking to Czech journalists after the draw, national team coach Karel Bruckner was typically non-committal, refusing to discuss his team's opponents' relative strengths and offering respect to all 15 possible opponents at the tournament. National team leader Karel Poborsky was less reticent: "We don't want to delude ourselves that we've got easy opponents," he said, "but, with the exception of Group C, all the other groups are also finely balanced so we can't complain." CMFS (Czech football association) Chairman Pavel Mokry was disappointed that Czech fans faced relatively long journeys to the national team's group games but, he added, "all the teams' representatives here agree that Group C is the only problem they don't want."
